5 valuable social media measurement resources

leave a comment »

Here are five sites I found to be great resources for social media measurement. Some give great indicator lists and plans to start gathering the data you need for your social media activity.

  1. Outspoken Media – details how to quantify buzz.
  2. Econsultancy – Looks at social media measurement from the perspective of a business that a) buys into social media, b) commits to it over a period of time, and as such c) has an integrated social media strategy.
  3. MarketingCharts.com – While some agree that communities have helped them successfully increase word-of-mouth and boost customer loyalty and brand awareness, others report that social media has fallen short on helping them reap bottom-line benefits, such as increased sales or decreased acquisition costs. Check out the surveys.
  4. The Social Organization – Provides a laundry list of indicators.
  5. Altitude – As you embark on this list, you ought to work backwards.
